Experience:

A. Teaching Activities:

(i)    31 year's experience of Teaching Physics at Graduate/Post Graduate level in various Universities in India and abroad.

(ii)  10 year's experience of teaching different Physics courses at pre-Ph.D./research level in various Universities/Institutes in India and Abroad.

B.  Research Activities: Actively engaged in research from last almost Thirty-two (32) years in the following fields:

(a) Theoretical High Energy Particle Physics: Has made significant contributions on various topics in quantum field theory, monopoles and dyons, GUT’S, Supersymmetry, D-branes and String theory, Quantum spin tunneling and Phase transitions etc.

(b) Particle Physics Phenomenology: Worked on various aspects of quark models and non-perturbative Quantum Chromodynamics, Constituent chiral quark model, flavor mixing and chiral symmetry breaking. Fermion mass matrices and CP-violation, various issues on Proton Spin Problem including Multi-quark states in QCD.

(c) Material Science: Synthesis and characterization of various conducting and non-conducting polymers and other materials. Swift heavy Ion energetics and Ion-Beam induced modifications in solids.

Organized/attended/participated/delivered talks/chaired technical sessions in more than sixty (60) International/National conferences/seminars/symposia/workshops in India and abroad. Participated/presented talks in more than Twenty-one (21) International/ National level special training programme/schools organized by various institutions in India and abroad. Organized several training programme for students, teachers, researchers different fields of biotechnology as well as for progressive farmers of Uttarakhand State. Conceptualized and supervised more than Thirty-seven (37) Research Projects in different branches of biotechnology. Established MOU with several National/International Institutions working in different fields of biotechnology. Organized several conferences/Seminars/workshops as well as delivered talks in such programme organized by various other reputed institutions. Worked for science popularization through popular talks/lectures, articles, exhibitions, radio talks etc.    

Administrative Experience:

(i) Worked as Proctor, NSS programme officer, Asst. Dean Student Welfare of HNB Garhwal University for several academic years from 1994 onwards.

(ii) Chief Election Officer, Election Officer for student union elections of HNB Garhwal University, SRT Campus in different academic Sessions.

(iii) Incharge of student union of HNB Garhwal University, SRT Campus in different academic Sessions.

(iv) Member of Student Guiding and Counselling Cell, campus sports council, campus purchase committee, campus development committee, examination committee as well as incharge/member to many other committees formed by university from time to time.

(v) Incharge Group Head to Snow Physics Division at SASE (DRDO, Ministry of Defense, Govt. of India) Manali.

(vi) Director, Uttarakhand State Biotechnology Department (Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt. of Uttarakhand) 2010 to 2013.

(vii) Member Uttarakhand Public Service Commission from Oct. 27, 2017 onwards.

Publications:

Research Papers: Published more than Seventy-three (73) research papers in the Journals of international repute. Most of these publications have been widely referred, quoted and cited by various researchers/Scientists, globally.  

Books/Monographs/Compendium:

Authored/edited Twelve (12) books (mostly assigned with ISBN), Prepared Eighteen (18) training manuals and Five (5) technical reports. Also published several popular articles in different magazines, community radio talks etc.
