    More than 29 years professional research experience at Central Pulp and Paper Research Institute, Saharanpur in the field of pulp and paper particularly in Chemical Analysis of raw material, Fibre Morphology, Fibre Furnish, Refining variables for different Raw Materials, Analysis of Paper, Paper Testing of Paper and Paperboard, Instrumental Analysis for Identification of fibres in Pulp, Paper and Paperboard at high magnification using SEM with EDAX, Fibre Identification and Characterization of different raw materials using Motorized Research Microscope with Image Analysis Software and Preparation of micro/nano fibrillated cellulose(NFC) materials using Microfluidizer LN20

    D: Research Problems Pursued:

    Research problems addressed on up-gradation of agro-residue materials (Rice Straw, Wheat Straw, Bagasse and Grasses etc) by pre-treatment methods. Up-gradation of agro-chemical pulps by fractionation methods. Responses of less and more fibrous and non-fibrous component of agro-residue pulps. Effect of refining variables on the development of mechanical strength of agro-residue fibers. Improvement of paper quality and troubleshooting.

    1. Training in “New techniques developed for the study of Internal and Cross-sectional structure of pulp fiber in SEM and CLSM and Zero span tensile strength of wet-web", under the supervision of Dr. R. S. Seth at PAPRICAN, Vancouver, CANADA for two months in 1994,

    2. Training in “Understanding and control of pitch and deposits in papermaking” at Centre Technique du Papier (CTP), Grenoble, France for three months in 2005.

    3. 1st International study tour under UNIDO project “Development and Adoption of Appropriate Technologies for Enhancing Productivities in the Paper and Pulp Sector” to Norway and Sweden for 10 days in 2017.

    4. 2nd International study tour under UNIDO project “Development and Adoption of Appropriate Technologies for Enhancing Productivities in the Paper and Pulp Sector” to Canada for 15 days in 2018.

    1. Successfully completed the ANSI – RAB (USA) accredited and IATCA approved Quality Management System Lead Auditor Training Course (ISO-9001: 2000) in 2002.

    2. Trained as lead Auditor on ISO 9001 Implementation in 2002.
